Welcome!

A little background about us. Wendy and I got our first Black Lab in 2001. We actually were there when the puppies were born, and were able to watch most of the puppies grow up – and still keep up with 4 of the littermates.

It was later in 2001 that we started training with some other local lab owners and became active in the local Hunting Retriever Club (HRC) - Great Lakes Hunting Retriever Club. If you don’t know about HRC, check out our links for more information. Since then we have raised 1 more black lab and 2 chocolate labs. They all either are active, or have been active in HRC hunt tests.

Our dogs don’t just participate in hunt tests, we also hunt with them. We take part in the local duck, goose, and upland bird seasons. Occasionally we will take them on a pheasant hunt at a couple of different farms.

In 2006 our son, Braedyn, was born. While Wendy was pregnant our training dropped off significantly and we didn’t enter as many hunt tests as we would have liked. With a newborn here it wasn’t easy to get out training or hunting, but 2007 will bring a new year and a time to focus our "spare" time to expand our training and get our dogs ready for their next challenges.
